After arriving to either Barcelona or Toulouse airport we drive to the Benasque Valley.
We start our walking week with one of the highlights – exploring the extensive valley in between Pla de Besurta and Aigualluts. There are great views across the towering peaks and glaciers of this protected area, the Aneto being the landmark sign as the highest peak of the Pyrenees with 3.404m (4 hrs walking).
Today we head into the Estós Valley. The left flank of the Batisielles massif is known for its beautiful lakes, forests and peaks. We can enjoy impressive views of the mighty Perdiguero mountain (3,200 m). (5 hrs walking)
We leave Benasque and drive to the Añisclo Canyon, part of the rugged and fascinating world of the Ordesa NP. A walk inside the gorge gives us some great insights before we continue driving to our next hotel in Torla, the gateway to Ordesa (4 hrs walking)
We take taxis to the mountain hut San Nicolás de Bujaruelo, explore the upper part of the valley and then hike along narrow paths along the river Navarros (6 hrs walking)
Today is left free to relax or explore the are on another walk, e.g. along the Faja de Facun with its spectacular vertical rocks.
We explore the extended main canyon of the National Park and enjoy incredible views whilst walking along the Faja de Pelay, a natural terrace high above the canyon (6 hrs walking)
We drive back to the airport and say good bye to the mountains
