Join tour Seville. Arrive and check-in at the hotel.
Seville is the quintessence of Andalusia: flamenco, bullfighting, a passionate Semana Santa (Holy Week) and an architectural heritage dating from Roman, Islamic and Baroque times. After bike fitting we explore the city riding, passing by the most important monuments. The afternoon is free for your own exploration.
(15km cycling)
We head east into the Guadalquivir Valley and get on the bikes past Ecija. Quiet secondary roads take us through olive plantations, rich agricultural land and a few villages near the river before we finally reach Cordoba. Afternoon orientation tour in Cordoba on foot. Don’t miss out on the stunning Mezquita! (55km cycling)
We drive into the Sierra Subbetica where we start riding along another, scenic Via Verde from Lucena to Luque. Later we get back on the bus and transfer to Benalua in the Guadix area north of the Sierra Nevada. Check into our most unusual accommodation built into caves.
Today is dedicated to cycling through the spectacular valleys of the Guadix Hoya, a desert-like landscape reminiscent of Arizona, often used as a movie location for filming Italian Spaghetti Westerns. It’s also an area of archaeological importance where remains of Dinosaurs were found. (60km cycling)
A short drive takes us to La Peza from where it’s uphill for a while on a quiet road before we start free-wheeling through excellent mountain scenery to the outskirts of Granada. In the afternoon we go for an orientation walk into the town centre. Today is a great opportunity to relax in an ancient Arabic Bath? (38km cycling)
Free day to explore beautiful Granada. After an optional visit of the Alhambra in the morning, there is time to see the cathedral, the Albaicín (the old Moorish quarter) and the stunning views from San Nicolas viewpoint, with the Alhambra and the towering peaks of the Sierra Nevada right in front of you.
The tour ends in Granada.
