Mallorca offers a natural paradise for walkers far beyond the stereotypical packaged holidays catering for mass tourism. The Sierra Tramuntana is a gemstone of a mountain range almost unrivaled on the Mediterranean, featuring great walks, beautiful vegetation with hundreds of years old olive trees and spectacular views across the nearby sea.
Arrive to Mallorca and transfer to hotel in Porto Pollença.
We drive to the historic town Alcudia and start our walk to the Victoria peninsula with great views across the bay and out to Cape Formentor.
After a short transfer we get to the old artists town Pollenca where we stop for a coffee. After that we walk from here on the old pilgrims trail, gradually ascending into the Sierra Tramuntana until we reach Lluc monastery where we will spend 2 nights in the hotel inside the monastery.
Today we will leave the monastery for a circular walk up to Puig Massanella, second highest peak on Mallorca. After taking in some great views we will descend back to our base in the monastery.
A short transfer takes us to lake Cuber high up in the Sierra Tramuntana. From here we walk on the old pilgrims route passing Coll d’Ofre and through the Biniaraitx canyon to the valley of Soller with its gardens full of orange and lemon trees. In Soller we take the old tram to get to our hotel in Port de Soller.
Why not relax on the beach in Porto Soller or go for walk to Cala Tuent?
Morning transfer to Deia – for many the most pristine, medieval village on the island. After a wander around we walk down to the coast and follow it closely for the rest of the walk, heading for Porto Soller though ancient olive groves.
Transfer to Mallorca airport and flight home.
